John, this looks very good. I have no suggestions to make, except to point out a typo in the answer to question #2: Catalogingof

Subject: [DCRB-L] MARC format change proposal: repeatability of 260
$e,f,g

At the DCRB Conference, it was noted that transcription of publication,
distribution, etc., information for machine-press books would sometimes
require that multiple places, names and/or dates of manufacture be
recorded. To make this possible, the relevant subfields (260 $e, f and g)
need to be made repeatable.

With some examples contributed by Manon Theroux, I have drafted a MARC
change form, which is attached. Such requests are handled fairly routinely
by LC, but it does require that a proposal be prepared for the MARC
Advisory Group to discuss and approve. I would like to submit this change
request within about six weeks, which will allow ample time for the
proposal to get on the MARBI agenda for Midwinter.

Please send comments to the list by August 15. At that point, I will
prepare a final version for BSC to approve.
