[DCRM-L] leaves pasted together to form a single leaf

Sounds like two sheets of paper stuck together during printing, then got pasted together to regularize that copy.

I recently wrote a blog post about a quarto in the Folger collection where the same thing happened: https://www.folger.edu/blogs/collation/unintentionally-blank-pages/

Subject: [DCRM-L] leaves pasted together to form a single leaf

Hi all,
Today I encountered a book where, in at least one place, the printer seems to have taken two leaves, each blank on one side, and pasted the blank sides together, resulting in a single (but doubly thick) leaf, with text on both sides. The signatures and pagination are as it would be if it were a normal single leaf. I only noticed because the two leaves have mostly separated in our copy, and are only partially pasted together. Does anyone know anything about this practice and how to describe it?
The book is A relation of a iourney begun an: Dom: 1610, the third edition (1627), if you happen to have a copy at your library. Leaf N1 (pages 133-134).
